The Lost Island Of Tamarind is an action packed, fun-filled book full of adventure, mystery and weird and wonderful creatures. It is about three children – Maya, Simon and Penny – whose parents fly overboard into the icy waters below during a wild storm.

Together they face the treacherous but fascinating people and creatures of the island of Tamarind. There are pink sandy beaches, high rocky mountains and a thick dense jungle full of people who live in trees, giants, mermaids, pirates, princesses, princes, kings, queens and kidnappers riding on jaguars through the night. Will Maya, Simon and Penny survive and will they ever find their parents? There is no turning back now.

I really enjoyed this book as it gave me a chance to visit a totally different world and the book was never boring and always full of adventure. I recommend this book for children aged 9-14. Trust me, you won’t want to put the book down.

    Hi Emily,

Just read your book review and when I get a chance I will differently have a read of it as what you have written about it sounds interesting.
