Meet the Designer – Peta from Love Mae

The best part of my job as creator at Juliet’s Closet, is the amazingly talented and inspirational business women I meet along the way. Some I am lucky enough to meet in person, whilst others I converse with online. The communication medium is not important, but the positive “I can do anything” attitude is.

Being a mother is a tough job and it doesn’t matter whether you have one, two, four or ten children; once a little one arrives in the world, you are no longer a single being on this planet, you are always going to be responsible for your “offspring”. Inevitably, GUILT is going to set in very early as you try to continue achieving your own goals and dreams, but not sacrifice the precious time you have with your children – especially when they are young.

This is definitely true for women trying to run their own business, because as businesses have a habit of doing, they take up the majority of your time. Especially when it is your passion and you want to give it everything you have.

I love reading or hearing about how other business women find the right balance and was delighted to read a little blog on Peta from Love Mae. A mother of two gorgeous girls and part creator of a thriving reusable wall stickers, melamine dinnerware and now organic bedding business. In her blog, she mentions that it is often very difficult to find a comfortable balance between work and family, and will often work a lot at night so she can be there for her girls before and after school……I hear you Peta!

EXCITING NEWS….

We are also extremely happy to announce that we have just ordered in some melamine tumblers and bowls from Love Mae. They not only make wonderfully cute dinnerware for any age group (….ok, I have ordered some for myself), the tumblers are very pretty pencil or toothbrush holders and the bowls, well I think they would make a great nik-nak holder (hair clips and elastics, lip gloss or trinkets!)

Oh and I nearly forgot the wrapping paper…there is so much you can do with it. Made our launch party very special!
